Download and Run: Download the WMP12 Library Background Changer tool from the Door2Windows website. It does not require installation.
Select Image: Run the tool and select your desired image for the background.
Apply: Click the “Apply” button to apply the changes immediately.
Alternative Method (Registry Editor)If you prefer not to use a third-party tool, you can change the background using the Windows Registry Editor: Type regedit in the Start Menu Search box and press Enter.
Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences.
In the right-side pane, find the LibraryBackgroundImage DWORD value.
Change its value to any digit between 0 and 6 to get a new background, then restart WMP12.
Using WMP 12 Skin Chooser (Native Feature)Note that there is a difference between changing the library background and changing the player skin. To change the entire skin: Open Windows Media Player.
